Glass in Seattle (all)

I was fortunate to get to see the Dale Chihuly exhibit in Seattle, just at the base of the Space Needle. Additionally, during a walkabout we were also able to see some other glass art which was Chihuly as well – I did also see some other art, and perhaps I will share that on another blog.
What I found fascinating was the video room, showing how the glass was made – and it reminded me of the comments I had made regarding Matisse, especially as again, Chihuly didn’t seem to have a plan, but allowed the art to evolve (so is he the artist, or the person blowing the glass?). I was impressed at the way that they threw the glass into the river – showing how resilient it is, even though it doesn’t look it.
