Each month, Lego post a mini build – the instructions only being available for that month before being archived (and you”ll have to do a google search to track them down). This month’s is the Log Cabin.
because I didn’t have all the pieces that Lego suggested for the build and I didn’t really want to head into “rainbow building” (bricks can be in any colour) I tried to compromise as best as I could. Additionally (and this is one of those super things with Lego and imagination) I was able to add to it – so wheras Lego had Icicles in the ‘formal’ build, I added moss coloured pillars. Additionally, I made the chimney stack at the back more ‘brick like’.
So I had my little log cabin. It’s nice enough, but somehow, I thought it could do with a little scene setting… so I made a small plinth that the model could drop into.
